
1. Cut open the mango and take the seed out and remove or wash off most of the flesh off, or let the seed dry for 1 or 2 days.
2. Use a knife and stick it inside the pit and carefully pry the pit open and you will find the actual seed inside the pit.
3. Wash the seed off in water and don’t let it dry out.
4. Plant the seed in a pot of soil and water it.
5. Some people recommend wrapping the seed in a wet paper towel to germinate the seed but what will happen is the seed will eventually get mold and rot and the seed will not germinate as well or at all.
It will take around 1 to 2 weeks for the seed to sprout.
Make sure it stays at temperatures of around 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit year round.
A mango tree grown from seed is mostly just be grown as a house plant and it may not produce fruit for 15 to 20 years, If you want to grow a mango tree for fruit production buy a grafted mango tree online and it will flower and fruit much faster at about 2-3 years or less.
